Martial Arts Programs Available In Meridian

From kids to adults, we have a martial arts program perfect for every member of your family.

Programs Built for Every Stage of Life

At Legacy Martial Arts, we believe martial arts is about more than punches and kicks. It is a proven way to build confident, disciplined, and respectful people, and our programs are designed to deliver that for every age group we serve in Meridian, Boise, Eagle, Kuna, and Nampa.

Whether you are signing up your four year old for their first class or coming back to training as an adult after years away, you will find a program that meets you exactly where you are. Each class follows a structured curriculum so students see steady progress, earn ranks they can be proud of, and build skills that follow them off the mat.

Why Families Choose Legacy

Every program at Legacy is built around the same six outcomes. They are the reason students stay with us for years, and they are what makes martial arts one of the highest leverage activities in a kid or adult's week.

Confidence That Carries Over

Every belt, board break, and pattern is a small win that compounds. Students walk taller at school, at work, and in social situations because they have proof they can do hard things.

Focus and Self-Discipline

Our structured curriculum trains the brain to slow down, listen, and follow through. Parents tell us this shows up in homework, chores, and screen-time habits within the first few months.

Real-World Self-Defense

Students learn awareness, de-escalation, and physical techniques that work outside the studio. Adults gain practical tools, kids learn how to avoid trouble before it starts.

Fitness Without the Boredom

Kicking, striking, and pad work torch calories, build coordination, and improve flexibility. Most students forget they are working out because they are too busy having fun.

A Community That Shows Up

Legacy is a second family for hundreds of Treasure Valley students. Friendships form on the mat and stick around for years, which is one of the biggest reasons students keep coming back.

A Clear Path to Black Belt

Belt ranks turn a long journey into achievable milestones. Each promotion is earned, celebrated, and followed by a new challenge that keeps students engaged.

How Our Classes Work

Every class at Legacy Martial Arts follows a predictable rhythm so students can focus on getting better instead of figuring out what is next. Classes start with a structured warm-up that builds mobility and gets the heart rate up, then move into technique work where students drill kicks, strikes, blocks, and forms with direct instructor feedback.

From there, classes shift into application: pad work, partner drills, sparring, and self-defense scenarios that turn technique into something students can actually use. We close with conditioning and a quick reflection so every student walks out knowing exactly what they improved on that day.

Belt testing happens on a regular cycle, with clear requirements at each rank. There are no surprises, no shortcuts, and no participation belts. When a student earns a stripe or a new belt at Legacy, they earned it.

Common Questions About Our Programs

How are your martial arts programs structured?
Programs are split by age and experience: Moogis (Younger Kids Martial Arts) for ages 4 to 7, Karate Kids for ages 8 to 12, and Teen & Adult Martial Arts for ages 13 and up. Each class follows a consistent format with warm-up, technique, drills, and conditioning, so students always know what to expect while continuing to be challenged.
How often should my child or I attend class?
Two classes per week is the sweet spot for most students. It is enough to make steady progress without overloading family schedules. As students approach belt testing or join the demo team, they often add a third class to sharpen their skills.
Do I need any experience to start?
No prior experience is needed. Every program is built to welcome complete beginners alongside more advanced students. Instructors meet each person where they are and scale the intensity, technique, and expectations to match.
What styles do you teach?
Our curriculum is rooted in Songahm Taekwondo with elements of traditional Karate and modern self-defense. Students learn forms, sparring, weapons, and practical application techniques that have been refined across decades of teaching in Meridian.
