Master Jim & Master Heather Neitzell
6th Degree Black Belts · Teaching in Meridian for 24 years
"When we began our martial arts journey, the positive impact it had on our lives was remarkable."
The Neitzells founded Legacy to give Meridian families that same experience. They still teach on the mat, and many of today's instructors started training here as kids and earned their black belts at Legacy.
Parent questions
My child is shy. Will they be okay?
Shy kids are some of our biggest success stories. Instructors pair new students with experienced ones and celebrate small wins, so confidence builds from the first class.
Will my child be fighting other kids?
No. Kids learn self-defense skills and, just as importantly, how to avoid fights. Respect and self-control are part of every class.
Can parents watch?
Yes, and we love it. Many parents end up joining a teen & adult class themselves.
Do they need experience or to be athletic?
Not at all. Every student starts at white belt, and classes are built for all fitness levels.
What should we bring to the first class?
Comfortable workout clothes and a water bottle. We take care of the rest.
What happens after the two weeks?
Our team talks with you about how it went and walks you through membership options. There is no commitment, so if it is not the right fit, you owe nothing more.
