A specific part of our preschool and kids martial arts classes at Legacy Martial Arts in Meridian is teaching respect, and teaching when to use their new self defense training and when to NOT use them. We find that our students become more confident to stand up to bullies. And have more humility and kindness to others though their martial arts lessons.
I absolutely love Legacy Martial Arts! Their attention to detail with each individual student is truly top-notch. The instructors genuinely care — not only about their students’ progress in class, but about them as people and about their families as well. They have created such a strong, community-like atmosphere that you immediately feel like part of the family. My son has faced challenges at times, and the instructors have gone out of their way to personally check in with him after class — not just about Taekwondo, but about how he’s doing overall. That level of compassion and personal investment speaks volumes. You can truly feel their care and dedication in everything they do. I would highly recommend Legacy Martial Arts to anyone looking for more than just a martial arts program — it’s a place where students grow in confidence, character, and community.
I was impressed on day one with both the instructors one of the owners I met. As a middle school teacher, I recognized right away that this martial arts school knew child development and knew how to motivate kids of various ages. When we started my kids were 6 and 10; a year and a half in, my kids have rapidly developed advanced coordination, confidence and an enhanced level of personal responsibility. My daughter is now in the leadership program and a TA in the “Moogies” program for the youngest students. The entire staff is friendly, professional, and loves their job!! They seem to really take great joy in helping kids achieve their taekwondo goals, and relating martial arts training to excellence in other aspects of their lives. We are very impressed with the program and people at Legacy. Master Mr Neitzell and Master Mrs Neitzell are stellar leaders!!
Our son has been part of Legacy Martial Arts since 2021, and the growth we’ve seen in him has been incredible. Not just in skill, but in confidence, discipline, and respect. He has truly grown exponentially during his time here. The owners are top notch — they genuinely care about the kids and the families they serve. The instructors are always positive, encouraging, and so helpful. They push the students to do their best while creating such a supportive environment.
